29. The
training:
All Women
Indian Navy Crew’s Circumnavigation is a great accomplishment to the credit of
women's empowerment. Six women were selected out of thirst to go on the
expedition; they were given strenuous training and rigorous practice to face
the challenges they might encounter during the voyage.
Team
work :
They set off
from Goa on 10th September 2017 and returned on 21st May 2018 after going round
the earth for 254 days. During the expedition they faced a lot of challenges.
The crew worked as a team and with honesty. The teamwork was the basis of the
success of the expedition the sea was rough at times, the water rising 8 to 10
meters with winds at 60-70 knots. They were able to repair there boat when it
broke down. When they were crossing the Tasman sea they could witness the
brilliant Southern lights. The entire sky was lit up in green light. They spent
their time, reading and cooking. They had also celebrated three birthdays and
the Diwali festival.
Achievements
:
They wanted
to keep all the challenges with them and not to frighten the people who were
anxiously waiting for their return. They proved that women are capable of
achieving adventurous accomplishments. They wanted to inspire more women to
embark on such adventures.

visited Nagen’s tea shop. Aditya was surprised to see the strange behaviour of
Sanyal. But Sanyal noticed the change in Aditya’s expression. Aditya did not
give any reason for it. He collected the details about Sanyal from Nagen’s
uncle. He went to his ancestral house.
The narrator thought that
Aditya wanted to see his house. He went there and found a medal in the attic.
He took it to the jeweller to find out the weight. The narrator asked what it
was. He told him that he would know about it soon. Then they went to Jogesh
Kabiraj’s house. There they saw Mr. Sanyal. Now the narrator cleared all his
doubts through Aditya’s actions.

Theme: The secret of
happiness is courage.
The young seagull was alone
on the ledge. He was afraid to fly. His parents, brothers and sister encouraged
and scolded him. But he did not have enough courage to fly. The little bird
felt that his wings would not support him. He was left alone for many hours and
he ate nothing. So he was very hungry. He begged his mother to bring a piece of
fish.
His parents wanted to teach
him to fly. The mother seagull picked up a piece of fish and flew across him.
The sight of food maddened him. He dived. He cried and screamed. His wings
opened up automatically. He flapped his wings. He realized that he was flying.
His family joined him in his first flight. They praised him for his efforts.
Thus his first flight became a success.
32. Holmes
sent Watson to bring Culverton Smith who knew to cure the Eastern diseases.
Holmes acted to be ill with Formosa plague. Watson pleaded with Smith to save
Holmes. Smith was shocked and he rushed to Holmes.
There Holmes told Smith about
the ivory box which confirmed the cause of the disease. Holmes said that Smith
was behind the murder of Victor Savage who was the victim of the same disease.
Smith told that Holmes was dying. Holmes asked Smith to brighten the lamp to
see him better. Holmes was only pretending to be sick. Thus he made Smith
confess the truth about Victor Savage’s murder.

Henry Van Dyke was a
visionary American author. His poem ‘Life’ describes life taking on life in its
truest form is an adventure. The poet describes life as an experience. It
should be lived without hurry. We must have courage, dedication and purpose.
We should not worry about the
past and the future. The way of life will not be smooth. There will be ups and
downs. We must embrace the present with happiness. We should all face it with a
smile. It seeks new friendship, adventure and experiences. We should have faith
in our hearts. Be bold and you will lead a happy life.

Human beings are the same. We

when we hate our brothers. We are similar to each other. We shouldn’t have war
and fight against them.

Dr.Krishnan to keep Zigzag a bird with his family for a week. Zigzag could sing
and talk in 21 languages. Zigzag remained dull and snored in the house because
it was bored. It perched on the fan and snored. The inmates wanted to send it
back. Krishnan took it to the hospital. All the patients and others were very
happy because zigzag spoke in a sweet voice. Mrs.Krishnan’s painting was sold
for a high value as the fruit juice spread by the fan made it look beautiful.
They wanted to keep Zigzag for another week.

Peter lived in Holland. Dyke is prevented Holland from being flooded. Peter
went to his blind friend to give cakes to him. While returning home he found

dark and cold there were none to help him. The next morning, while going for
work notice him and called others. The villagers plugged the hole. Peter was
called the little hero of Holland for saving a village.
